2012 T100 ran out of gas
Was very curious about how many miles would it take to ran out of gas, I've got a 12 T100 black - 133 miles bike stalled & didn't start, added gas and back on the road. Wanted to share if anyone is wondering.

Sounds about right. How many miles do you have on your moto? Also, are you still breaking it in? And lastly do you mostly do surface streets or Freeway/Hwy riding? All of these factors dictate. I get about 130 - 145 depending on a lot of factors. By the way, what part of Los Angeles are you in? In in Whittier. Cheers.

I'm curious how many gallons of gas you put in the tank after running out at 133 miles? I ask because I had 135 miles on my clock the other day and when I topped off it took 3.2 gallons...this was after running with my buddies up in the hills in a very spirited fashion.

I've got 2,050 miles on my bike, on average 75% city - 25% freeway. when ran out of gas added about 1/2 gal, gas station was a mile away, took 3.6 gal to fill it up. i live off of laurel canyon up in the hills.

Something ain't right. That comes to only 33 mpg. I reguarly get 45+ mpg on my 2009 T100 and have my low fuel light come on around 120 miles or so. When I get gas at around 130-140 I usually still have almost a gallon left, ehich means I should be good for at least 160-170 miles though I have only risked it to 150 a couple of times.
It is hard to ride when that yellow low fuel light is blazing in your eyes. LOL

Yea, 33 MPG is very low. I have a 2010 and at a solid 80 mph on the highway I get 38-40 MPG, and I think I have a problem with my map.
I have a 2005, 904 with flat slides, and I get 44-48 under all riding conditions.
Our EFIs should be doing better than this.

1/2 gallon Trapped
If the FI models are like the carb'd bikes 0f 2001-2007/8, there's about a half gallon trapped on the side of the tank where it can't get over the tunnel.
If you run out of gasoline, tip the bike over - way over - to the side where the fuel hose exits the tank and you'll get another 20+ miles.
I'm not sure if this works on the Fuel Injected models but I don't see why it wouldn't. Anyone know for certain?

I would agree he is getting poor fuel mileage based on his running out at 133 miles and putting in close to the rated capacity of 4.2 gallons. I consistently get 43-45 mpg with a mix of spirited city and canyon riding and on my road trips running top gear at speeds 80++ I will get 50-52 mpg.

Lemme chime in on the Big booty side of the picture. I get about 33 mph on my T100. I do beleive that my buffness is a factor. being that I am about 245 of lovin. plus the fact that I dont let my tach drop under 3500 ever. conrtibutes heavily to my low mileage.
