Little dog on bike
Anybody have suggestions on how to give my little dog a ride. I sure hate to leave the lil girl at home, makes me feel guilty.

How about some kind of front mounted back pack? Essentially a back pack or sling, reverse mounted on you with your doggy inside of course. Just an idea.

That could work. I put her inside of my tank bag with a leash around me and that worked for a short ride down the street but i'm scared she could jump out somehow. I need something like what you suggested. More secure type thing with mesh maybe so she can't jump out.

Maybe with the zipper zipped up snug to her neck and secured so she can't open it and jump out. Baby steps until she gets used to the rides. Good luck buddy, keep us posted.

bagster make a dog carrier tank bag. not cheap as you have to buy the tank cover as well as the bag.

It's funny that sonic just posted this. About 3 days ago, my mom showed me this. Maybe you could just "teach" the dog?
http://www.craigboyce.com/w/2011/09/...le-riding-dog/
The funniest part for me: "that dog got on shades?"
My sister told me about a dog in St. Augustine that she saw a while back on a bike. A pack on the front of the guy. He was wearing "doggles" too so his eyes didn't dry out. She said it was hilarious, in a very cool way.
Btw sonic, that's an awesome avatar. I've thought that since the first time I've seen it.

Is that the little dog in your avatar? Looks like a toy.

While attending Summer Jam in 1973(The Dead, Allman Bros. and The Band) I remember? seeing a guy with a padded milk crate attached to his Triumph tank. Small Pup riding in the crate seemed happy, as were most of the other concert attendees.

doxiedog rides with his dachshung (get it?) quite frequently. I'm pretty sure he just lets it sit in a milk crate he has on his luggage rack. Maybe not the most elegant solution, but it works for him.

Check with Petco. Someone makes a zippered tank bag for small dogs. I think they make backpacks too, so find the mfgr. and check with them.
