Cranberry Paint

I picked up a parabellum fairing to warm up my winter rides, but couldn't find a paint code for the '12 Cranberry.

I emailed ColorRite and they asked if I would be willing to send them my side cover so they could match it for me and anyone else who is looking for it. They said it would take about 7-10 days... I'm sending it over after the Thanksgiving day weekend.

Ive seen a few posts from folks looking for this color.

Thanks this will be useful to know, I have the same model and will no doubt need the colour code before too long!

I was looking for the paint code for the Brooklands Green and someone chimed in and said this:

"The paint code for Cranberry Red is CX. That is the code in Triumphs dealer only site. When the Brooklands Green comes out I will pass it along."

So, it looks like the code for Cranberry Red is CX. By the way, the code for Brooklands Green is HM.

I'd be interested in the result. I saw the post about the two-letter Triumph code, but I somehow doubt that would do a body shop any good in determining the proper mixture. Please pass on what you find out. My '07 is due for a paintjob and Cranberry Red is my current favorite.

Even though he gave me these codes, I still had to ask how to order the paint. He said this... "It's in the PPG software for 2013 triumph motorcycle colors." I guess PPG is a type of paint?

The 2 letter code didn't do my body shop any good (... but thanks, two bit!) I don't know if it's just because it was too new?

When I get my side panel and paint back I will post here in case anyone wants to order it.

The guy did say that the code was for the Triumph dealer only site. Here is a link to the thread I started when in my search for the Brookland Green Paint.

I was facing a similar problem and after a bit of browsing I found the following:

http://bestforbritts.com/gestione/im...%20Triumph.pdf

(Attaching the file as well in case the link breaks).

It has Cranberry Red listed as

CX Cranberry Red BASF 3120012-CX (note: Red 3 B/Coat (No.18))

I have no idea what the note means, if anyone can explain?

Hope this helps,

JMA
