Hello, guys
I really need your help. I read a lot about these two bikes but still cant decide. There is a difference in price, in chrome and very small difference in performance. So what will be the main reason that made you get one instead of the other one. Or if you have to chose between both, what will be your motivation? Is the difference of price justify the T100 over the Bonneville? Help me please. Cant stop thinking. :hammer:

T100!
The tac and extra ponies are worth the cost of admission. And then there's some different styling cues like you mentioned including different paint options. Although I am partial to the black engine. IMHO, the bike just plain looks better with the centered tac/speedo setup even if you really don't need a tach. I think the upgrade is worth it.

I went through the same process. Decided on the T100 figuring I would eventually want all the options and would end up paying more for them after the initial purchase.

I bought the standard all black Bonnie for it's black engine, which I love, but I did fit the matching tach kit as an extra. Just ain't right without a tach.

Same here. I wanted the bigger engine, the chrome, the tach, the the kneepads, and of course, the paint! The solid colors don't do anything for me unless it's a Bonnie Black.
Its worth the extra money if you love those same things. Oh, yeah, and don't forget it says T100 right on the side!

Personally I would go fot the t100, mainly because of the tach... I suspect it will hold up better in resale value.. as regards power, there isn't enough difference to notice..
you might want to add a centrestand, it makes life sooo much easier.
I think both bikes come with wheels fitted as standard

I'd go for the T100. I rode both a Bonneville and a T100 one after the other on a Triumph test day, the Bonnie really struggled to keep up with other bikes that were in the group whilst the T100 performed much better, and it was nicer to ride than the Rocket 3!
What did I buy? Well, sorry guys but it was a secondhand BMW. The shaft drive had a lot to do with the decision though. I'm saving up for a T100 or a Thruxton. I'll get one one day!

I'm more of a chrome and glitz type of guy which is why I chose the T100 with the extras and paint accents. As moronic as this may sound I love to polish and keep the bikes spotless. I guess it's just pride in ownership. I like my "toys" to stand out.
My car on the other hand is filthy most of the time. It's just transportation and not a toy.
I agree about the tach. To me the Bonneville looks out of balance with only one instrument and if I had one I would soon be fitting a tach. It's just an asthetic thing since I don't ride hard and don't really need a tach, but I just feel better or more satisfied about it. I guess "complete" is the word I'm looking for.
If you have a choice I would go for the T100.

When the new Triumph engineers brought back the Bonneville they supposedly took inspiration from the 1969 Bonnie. I'm looking at my '69 Bonneville right now (OK its only a Franklin Mint model) and I see a full size tach, two tone paint on the tank, chrome engine covers and knee pads. I just got off my T100 and it has all the same things. I think the basic new Bonneville was the result of trying to make a retro '69 Bonneville while fitting into a cost goal. The T100 costs a little more, but it's the real thing without the compromises.

I really wanted a T100, but in July when I bought, none were left. The only trade-off was my regular Bonnie is Goodwood Green, a color I love. I'll be adding the tach as money becomes available.....
