Opinions on Scrambler value...
I'd like to know what you guy think the dollar value of my Scrambler is...
It's a 2007 model with 42,000 miles. The bike has a salvage title but the only way you'd know it is by reading the word "salvage" on the title. The bike is 100% straight and clean. Every bit of damage that the bike ever had has been replaced with factory Triumph parts by a dealer. It's been so well repaired that I don't even know where the bike was damaged, or if it was damaged... Maybe it was a theft recovery, I don't know for sure. I bought it this way and never really cared since the condition is so good. No rust, no dirt or grime build up, no dings or big scratches. Looks like it has maybe two or three thousand miles on it in total. Has new Metzeler Tourance tires, recent chain and sprockets, runs perfectly... How much should I expect to get for the bike in your opinion? Thanks.

Can't help with a value as I'm in a different market, but I really wouldn't get your hopes up. That salvage in the title is going to hit you, as is the mileage.

Despite the appearance of your bike I'm afraid Bobbo may be right. It could well be that you'd get more for it if you break it for spares!

How much do you want for it? This is absolutely the worst time for me financially to ask, but my dream has always been to make a barely street legal stripped down desert sled/hare scrambler. My Scrambler is too pretty to do any hard lifting.

Is this on eBay now, there is one that sounds a lot like it?

The funny thing is that my scrambler is too pretty as well... If I covered the odometer and never showed the word "salvage" on the title, most would estimate that it had maybe a couple thousand miles on it since new. It's that nice... As far as what I want for it; I hope to get somewhere between $3000 and $3800 which is about half of what they go for used without a salvage. I'm not at all in a "need to sell" situation so if it doesn't sell I'm totally ok with that too. It's a nice bike to have around and a great summer commuter at 50 mpg. I posted up to see if you, more knowledgable Triumph enthusiasts think I'm in the ballpark of reality.

That's the trouble with these bikes. Everybody takes good care of them. It's hard to find one cheap. It's a great price, so if you ever are in the mood in the future (broke now) to sell it, drop me a line.

I don't think that $3,000 is too high.

I wouldn't touch a bike with a salvaged title unless it was practically given to me. I note you don't say what you paid for it and I bet it was $1500 or less.
