Custom Seat Recovering

Last month i was at ATS Triumph in Paris and I saw 3 bikes with custom recover seats. And one more hanging on the wall.

They have a local guy that for $400 EURO recovers your seat in Leather or Vinyl. And will embrodier the triumph loho on the back, with the dealer name or whatever text you like.

One was a lipstick red sparkle vinyl, one was a brown suede, one was a black with contrast white diamonds and one was a vintage looking brown leather with off white stitching in diamonds. I was in love. That price was if you provided your seat for recovering, add $100 EURO if you dont supply one.

I wish I could share the 20+ photo's I took, but my phone was stolen the next day.

Does anyone know of a company that can do something like this in the USA or Canada. I really want a custom seat, but it has to look like it was a factory special order.

Any help would be appreciated.

Bill

google is your friend. There are several well known custom bike seat companies in the U.S.

Well, thanks for the reply. Not much help though.

I am looking for someone with experience with someone, images on a webpage mean diddly. If I am shelling a few hundred for a seat recover I would like to feel confident in the shop doing the work.

Try Cee Bailey's in California.

I had a Piaggio MP3 500 seat recushioned and recovered by them and was totally satisfied.
The materials and workmanship were top notch.
I'll be sending my Bonneville seat to be done when the riding season is finished here in New York. Probably in January.
If you only have the rider section recushioned & recovered, the cost is $350. If you have both the rider & passenger sections recushioned & recovered, the cost is $450. That's for a vinyl cover. Leather covers are more.
Hope this helps.

I got my T100 seat for my bonneville redone by a local Shop. Added a little bit of seat height, two tone all leather. Gel and memory foam. The seat is tremendously comfortable and the workmanship is awesome. I got the two tone seat and Its taking a little getting used to. Wondering if I should've done all black......Hmmmm. Might get one made in black as well to see how much of a difference it makes in the over all look.

Regardless the workmanship and quality of materials is top notch. Here's a pictures. It looks a hell of a lot better in person than in picture. It cost $300 for them to shave the existing foam, add Gel and memory foam and make a custom 2 tone all Leather seat cover. I think its worth it for the quality and materials used.

Bill,
After re-reading your original post I would just look for any good upholsterer. I have had several custom seats done but for a different reason. I've had seats built to be able to ride 12 hours on. Any competent upholsterer can make a new seat cover. Should be very inexpensive also. I've paid as much as $650 for a custom seat and worth every penny. Good luck,

I will five that a try, i am sure there has to be a competent auto upholsterer here somewhere. This city is filled with 60's muscle cars that have been restored.

Thanks for the suggestion.
