Top Speed

I got no trouble getting up to an indicated 90 mph rather quickly - which is fine for me on my Thruxton and general freeway riding,..

Going faster seems to require more time at WOT and laying on the tank...

So I was wondering what other people's top speeds ? On either the Bonnie or Thruxton.

I have BC Ark and Predators. No other mods

In fifth gear and somewhere between 7.5 and 8000 RPM my speedo read just a tick over 120.

ARK, DNA pods, Predator exhaust and TTP remap.

100 mph indicated with more left in the tank. That's going up a 8% grade.

TPUSA Dom Touring pipes, and air box removed, Uni filters, Pieman Igniter , Keihin 35mm CRS carbs.

Going up a hill, in a normal riding position (I have Tracker bars), she blew past 170Km/h and was nudging 180 before I had to ease off due to traffic. So I would think that a genuine 120mph is realistic.

No other mods? You opened up the intake and the exhaust. I hope you rejected accordingly. Both my Scrambler and Bonnie could reach 120 but they are injected and remapped.

I've ran my '06 T100 to an indicated 115 mph... level grade w/ no tailwind. Mods are Staintune reverse cone exhaust, airbox w/ a Norman Hyde bellmouth, 125 main jets, and a stock 18T counter sprocket. But don't tell my wife.

115 mph on my '05 thruxton, and it had a bit more, maybe 120-125. sans airbox and AI, predators.

i've had my '06 scrambler to 105, and it'll go a lot more if you get out of the wind. sans airbox and AI, fcr's and thunderbike exhaust. thing flat out screams at high speeds, really fun...
