Pfff prices are cheap in the US. You can hardly find a t100 for under 4500 euros over here.

Anything below $3000 for a Modern Bonneville that is in good condition is a pretty good deal. We recently found Mrs. Irish a 2002 Claret and Silver Bonneville with some nice aftermarket goodies on it for $2600 and we both thought we got a steal on the bike. It has 25,000 miles, but it was well maintained mechanically, although it did need some deep cleaning.
I don't give a damn what some of the price fixers [KBB, NADA, etc...] say, certain vehicles like Triumph Bonnevilles, E30 BMW's, Miata's, etc... have certain intrinsic value. Modern classics are hard to put an early value on. The bottom line is condition, condition, condition....

I agree around $3k is a fair price for a 2002 with 25000 miles, but it should be well maintained and look like it, and everything should work. If it has scratches, worn tires, and cracked or faded lenses, etc., I'd offer $2k.
I have a 2002 Bonny and paid $3500 two years ago. It's new looking with 15000 miles.
The '02 model has the crankcase/starter gear problem that is discussed on this forum.

its okay to sell a bike at a fair price but when you buy one you should be stealing it.

Best deal in the world...both parties think they screwed each other.....
Condition, milage and market determine value. A good clean 10 year Bonneville with 25K on it should be a good buy at $3,000 bike. I have yet to see even a clapped or wreck bring less the $2800 on ebay.

Well he has no service records and the bike was dropped once and says it only cracked one mirrior, i would bet theres scuffs else where as well. says 2700.00 is bottom dollar. hard to pay that when I also found a 2007 with 5900 miles and thruxton seat and cowl, bars and mirrors for 4500.00. it's winter here anyway so I may just wait and shop for a thruxton come spring.I just really want to have another triumph come spring wish i would have never sold my thruxton it's the only bike i have ever missed that i sold! btw my other bike is a 2012 zx 14

Over here in blighty its nigh on impossible to find decent Bonnevilles at reasonable prices
looked for nearly 12 months until I came across a 2002 Green Silver model which I fell in love with....
problem was it was 3000UKpounds (approx 4.8KUSD)
at 1700 miles 1 owner full Triumph service history (well the oil was changed every year !!) and a very reluctant seller I would have lost the deal if I had tried to haggle hard...
loads of factory fitted extras came with it ....
best of all the bike rides likes new.....

If it's close, go look at it and take cash. Like a previous poster said, find the scratches and blemishes, point them out, and make your offer. He'll take $2500 I betcha, which I think would be fair. He might take less. Just make what you think is a fair offer and he'll either take it or counter. Instead of waiting until spring, I'd say get it now so you can work on it during the winter.
