My experience with the Hella, along with a brighter bulb and a wiring upgrade: The low beam lights the way pretty well. The high beam is suitable as a beacon for the space station, but not much else. I use the high beam in bright daylight only, or if I need to see far, far ahead at night, at the expense of what's closer.

Overall, I'm happy with it and the accompanying upgrades to brighten the light. It's much better than stock, and I suspect that I'd have similar issues with any light I put in there.

Mrs. Irish and I were in Walmart today and I was buying some oil and I walked past the headlight display and Walmart has the same light for only $8.53!

Hard to beat that price.
