Mag wheel Bonnie Black EFI, because I love modern technology, the awesome handling, and the overall good looks of the bonnie black. Plus women love it.

I've been riding scooters for 7 years. I took the MSF course to improve my skills and legally ride my 125 cc. I had no plans of buying a motorcycle. Then, with the influence of a friend, I began thinking how cool it would to do some day trips and weekends away on two wheels. Next thing I knew I was looking at motorcycles.
I wanted one that I would be comfortable riding around the city so a standard motorcycle was most appealing to me. I'm sooo NOT a Harley girl. I'm a huge retro/British mod fan. I love cafe racers. My father's influence who was brought up in London riding Lambrettas and BSA's/Nortons/Triumphs in the 60's. I think they're in my blood.
I love the look of the Thruxton but the riding position is just too aggressive for me. I also love the looks of the Moto Guzzis but in my research, I knew I didn't want to own one. Everything I read about the Triumph Bonneville solidified that they are great motorcycles. Good for a newbie like me but not so much so that I would be compelled to trade it in a year later. That's what I wanted.
I couldn't justify the expense of a new bike. Saw a T100 on Craigslist that called my name. Opal & tangerine. Drool. Beautifully maintained. Lots of little upgrades but nothing major. Eveything I would've done myself. In my price range too. I bought it that week.
BTW, I'm in love. I haven't riden my scooter since. Although, I do miss parking on the sidewalk.

Most of us would rather see that parked on the sidewalk than a scooter.

I started riding again last year, after 45 years of not riding. My two brothers have 4 Triumph Triples between them, Trophy's and a Super III. They're nice bikes but after a 2000 mile trip using one of them I knew it wasn't for me. I demo'ed a Street Triple, and a Suzuki Gladius, they were nice but not quite right. Then I demo'ed a 2010 Bonnie SE. One 20 mile ride and I knew this was it. I bought my 2011 Blue Bonnie SE when I got back from the demo. That was July 2011. Now I have 20,000 miles on it. It's perfect for me, it's good at everything. My brother's bikes are faster until the road gets really twisty, then they are chasing me.

When I first read the line above, I thought who rides a scooter for 7 years that is of the legal motorcycle riding age, then I saw girl a few times listed in your post and said phew.
'Good to see you on a proper two-wheeler.

I fell in love with the Bonneville back in 1968 after seeing one in the local showroom. I actually went with a friend to see the new Honda CB 72 but it was the Bonnie that stole the show. As we walked away I remember thinking, "Hmm, dream on, maybe one day."
Last year...53 years and 10 Japanese bikes later I finally bought one.
Thank you Triumph for resurrecting such a great bike and making my dream come true.

2011 T100 black & white. 67 yrs old. This is my first Triumph, have owned approx. 35 bikes, mostly Japanese and a few Harleys. In my youth I really wanted a Tiger Cub but settled for a Mustang motorcycle. Finally decided to get a Triumph, no regrets. Love this forum.

I started riding in 1968. I rode Harleys for 20 years before switching to Ducatis. In 2008 I bought the best scooter on the planet. A Genuine (PGO) Buddy. My Vespa cost an arm and a leg to keep running. In 8000 miles my Buddy didn't have a single problem. If it hadn't been stolen I would still own it. Day one I hit the road in Cleveland and rode it to San Francisco. If you need a quick run to the store for a gallon of milk, it fits under the seat. Try that on your Triumph. Stop and go traffic is fun on an automatic. You really need to broaden your horizons.
I love my Scrambler but I still miss my Buddy.
