Biggest difference is obviously the riding position! Riding the America with its forward controls, I would find my thighs cramping from holding my feet on the pegs. I ended up buying the footboards and they helped in that regard.
The difference I love the most however is how small, light and nimble the Bonnie is. This thing handles! Even the gearbox feels buttery smooth in comparison and I'm still on the running in oil.
In 4 years of America ownership I only rode 7500 km. It wasn't really inspiring me to jump on and ride our great Adelaide hills biking roads.
The Bonnie is just so much fun to ride. No more cruiser bikes for me.
