Cool Konfuzed!!!

OK! I'm more confused than Mike Tyson at a spelling bee! I have a 2012 Bonnie SE with a K/Q seat and I am a portly 5'8" senior citizen. I am looking for a windscreen that is affordable, provides decent wind protection with as little buffeting and wind noise as possible. I currently have a Memphis Shades Hellcat, I got it mounted properly in spite of the little fiddly things at the leading edge of the handlebar clamps. (There is no mechanical problem I have ran across that can not be over come by brute force and ignorance.) The Hellcat does a fair job at reducing the wind at chest level but makes for a lot of helmet buffeting and wind racket above 50 MPH. I don't think the Dart would do for me, I tried Parabellum but they won't have tined material for 6 weeks. I have been thinking about a Roadster screen but notice quite a few riders are unhappy with them. I am open to suggestions.

I have the Memphis Shades Hellcat as well. For cold weather I just ordered a National Cycle Plexifairing GT N8101 from Big Bad Power Sports for $152 shipped.

Check out the Maier Universal screens. They've got several different models (that are very different shapes), are pretty cheap, and super-easy to put on and take off.

P.S. You're not far down the road from me - I'm in Calimesa!

I'm pretty close to the same -- 5/8 & could lose a few pounds. I just installed a National StreetShield EX, which does a fine job for me of putting the wind over my head (stock seat, so I'm sitting a bit lower than you). Haven't had my favorite pillion passenger behind me yet, so don't know if it's dumping all that wind on her helmet or ???? (Probably is -- it did on my Legend).
