Put down the keyboard, polish the grime and ride it! I'm waiting for a part or I would be riding the Scrambler right now. That is just the kind of bike that would be popular at Alice's in Woodside.

The retro attention to detail on these bikes is impressive to say the least. They really got the modern classic spot on.

Is there any chance the Kawasaki will import the W800 to the US? With Bonneville sales doing so well, it seems like Kawasaki is missing an opportunity.

Fool me once .... shame on you. Fool me twice ..... shame on me.

I don't look for Kawasaki to go through the same sales disaster today that they experienced with the W650 in 2000-2001. I purchased my 2000 W650 from a multi-brand dealer that had four of the W retro bikes sitting on the showroom floor gathering dust. Their attitude toward floorplan was simple ..... if it's gathering dust after June, discount it and get it out of here. I took advantage of that philosophy, and took delivery of a new 2000 model in Aug of 2000 for $4995.00. Probably the best deal I've ever made on a motorcycle.

I would like to see Kawasaki offer a plan similar to the one Yamaha offered on the FJ1300 initially. Show us the money in the form of a $500 (+ -) deposit. Your bike will then be shipped to your dealer for delivery.

I think for them to do otherwise only invites another wave of deep discounts. Gotta remember the prevailing attitude ...... why buy a Japanese version of a Triumph when you can buy a Triumph? I think Kawasaki took that lesson to heart.

Okay, had a quick little 25 mile ride late yesterday afternoon and I have to say, coming from the Daytona, it's weird. So comfy, upright and going into the turns, I feel like I may fall off. LOL

There is a bit of pulsation between 3-4k rpms in 2nd gear. Then cruising in third gear @ 40mph there is a very very slight pulsation again. I've never ridden a carb bike before so I don't know if this is a natural thing or something needs to be sorted out.

The previous owner recommend some type of fuel cleaner from Yamaha that will help get it running smoother in the long run. Does anyone know what he means by that?

Also, I've heard about seafoam. Educate on that please.

Thanks everyone! I'll be riding her some more later today for a few hours. I'm going to surprise my father-in-law today with it.
