Can't comment on the slip-ons but I have recently fitted the TT Pipes from specialty spares (linked to Bella Corse) and I love 'em !! Bought a set of sports bars, oval mirrors and vintage grips as well and the overall look and sound is quite sporty and agressive.
Good value for money ($600 AUD all up), performance improvement and pose value.
For what it's worth . . . .

Cheers

I've had a set of BC teardrop slip-ons on my 01 Bonnie for 3 years now, and recommend them highley. They come with adapters, and take a little work to line them up, but they markedly improve performance when combined with re-jetting, and opening up the airbox. My rear wheel hp jumped from 55 to 67 with these modifications, and mpg dropped from 48 to 46. I've also raised my rev limiter to 8300 rpm. Email me if you want more specific details. tommyturbo2

Dave, I'm guessing you mean the "teardrop exhaust" system.
If you are, I have the Sprints which are identical as far as I know (both made by EMGO).
Nice finish and quality with that "60's" look and sound (I get lots of compliments from guys thinking that they are looking at a 66 or 68 Model). They sweep-up a bit and flare out just a touch from the bike. Kinda loud in quiet neighborhoods but sound great on the open road. I would recommend that you get the JC Whitney baffles # AGV013522 for $3.99 each and "bury" them in the adaptor pipe in front of the muffler (no re-pack material...the included clamps of the pipes and bend of the adaptor pipe will keep the baffles in place and you won't need to ruin the pipes by having to do any drilling). It will take you about 30 minutes to change them out.

Yes, I bought the slip-on's too and used the JC Whitney baffles placed on the back straight section of the muffler with bolts facing down.
Jetting 128 main and a 42 for the pilot jet with the plug color good.
It seems to run better with the baffles than straight. Creates some needed back pressure. The baffles don't seem to quite it much.
I'm very happy with them.

I have them and love 'em. Mine came with some sort of baffles that have never left the plastic they came in. The sound is great, but can get a little loud on long trips when coupled wind noise. They are louder than the Norman Hydes - I think it sounds better.

I also have the EMGO teardrop silencers, however installed the J & P Cycles 12" long by 1 1/2" Dia. baffles. Really like the sound, not going back to straight thru silencers.

Thanks for the feedback folks.
She currently has straight thru Specialty Spares which sound friggin awesome at startup but get kinda ratty sounding at speed.
I'm lookin for something that have a good sound right through the spectrum and maybe be a tad quieter then the SS's.
