Angel eyes on Bonnie - Cool or not?

I was looking to upgrade the lighting on my Bonnie and came across this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/330763820184...84.m1438.l2649

Has anyone installed these?

I am not sure whether it would be cool or not. I also don't know if it really does anything in terms of visibility.

I am going for the "modern retro" look. I have a 2010 Black and White Bonnie and I want to combine the classic lines of the Bonnie with modern accessories. I added the Triumph black fly screen and the Scrambler's solo seat with rack. I am eventually going to upgrade to turn signals to more modern looking ones and whatever else I can find.

Thanks

Just my two cents...these do look cool to me on high-tech modern cars and bikes, but (again, just my opinion), seems to run a bit counter to the heritage of a Bonneville.

I was thinking the same thing.

I actually think these could work on a nice cafe'd bonnie. Remember that these bikes are also *modern*. We're not changing the sight lines or the style, just the light. It'd give the bike a slightly meaner look.

Though, if the light doesn't improve visibility I doubt it'd be worth it...

+1... I like it.

Not sure why, but the seller seems to think it won't fit your bike.

Compatibility:
Please choose your vehicle year, make and model for specific results.

This part is not compatible with 2010 Triumph Bonneville.

(But you more than likely already checked that out.)

I've sold stuff on eBay. If the seller doesn't specifically enter what motorcycle the part is compatible for, it won't list it. Same thing happens on Amazon. I'll contact him directly. Any idea where can I find size specs for the Triumph lamp?

Wow, normally I'd agree with the feelings on classic vs modern, but, this time, I have to completely agree with antiquar. It looks mean and doesn't detract from the lines/ classic feel IMO

I hope you don't mind an honest opinion, but angel eyes are a modern BMW signature and the idea of putting such a thing on a Triumph is an anathema. It would look horribly out of place on a modern Triumph but, on a Bonneville, it would be like taking your favourite (and much loved) grannie and kitting her out with a reverse base ball cap and a lycra boob tube

Please, don't do it!
