G'day everybody.
A big day for me and so had to share. First Bonny and first post! I've been looking in here for over a year and have been very grateful for the advice that is provided and the very positiive and supportive vibe that exists. I've often wanted to comment but made a decision to hold off until I actually made the committment to a bike. Took delivery this morning of a new T100 (black & white) and I've now experienced first hand what many of the members here have been talking about over the year I've been dropping in on you. What a great bike - a real head-turner and even though I haven't ridden for many years, within a few minutes back in the saddle, I felt very comfortable. It really is a great bike for those who are returning to bikes after a long lay-off. The only mod I've done so far is to put StainTune pipes on from the start and remove the secondary air intake - no regrets at all - what a great sound! There's a number of other things I may get around to doing eventually, but the first priority is to brush up the riding skills and enjoy the buzz. Sorry about the length of the post but so much to rave about! Thanks again for the help you've all been and I'd like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and great riding in 2006. :-D

Great to hear about your new toy! Congratulations. Great choice, and in my favourite colour scheme too! You're obviously a man of great taste!

britsteel welcom aboard. The Black and white isn't as fast as the opal and tangerine but it's a good choice anyway! Enjoy your new ride. It's a Bonnie so you have to...

Nice bike. I have the same color in a '04. I believe the only difference is I have the 790 and you the 865. I also have the Staintunes and they sound fabulous. I was a non-rider for 19 years and also found it very easy to start again on a Bonneville. I love it.

britsteel-

Welcome to the forum, congratulations on your new purchase, have a ton of fun on the Bonnie but be safe, and have a Merry Christmas.

Thinking of any more mods? If so, let's see some photos when you've made them.

Cheers,

Ned

Welcome to the forum Britsteel and that's a great choice of bike. The b&w is a real headturner - you get used to people staring!

Guess is warm and summery where you are. Enjoy
