The dark side...

Does anyone know if tyre manufacturers make a car tyre that would fit the rear of a Bonneville?

...just wondering.

Do you intend only ever riding in a straight line?

Perhaps he's thinking of turning it into a top fuel drag bike - might be the wrong choice of bike though!

I believe there are flatter-tread tires for sidecar rigs...

I read a article somewhere that putting a car tire on the back of a m/c is no good.
Both types of tires are designed to do their jobs in different manners.

If I could remember where the article was I'd tell you, but my memory is shot.

Bingo, we have a winner.

I am contemplating putting a rig on the Bonnie, and was just tossing thoughts around my head about tyres, and putting a car tyre on it while the rig was mounted.
Sorta seemed to make some sense to me.

Do people actually do this?
And does it actually make sense?

The one friend of mine who has a sidecar likes the option of taking it off now and then, so he keeps his Metzeler ME880s. VERY long-wearing tires.
