Like many of you, I prefer retro motorcycles. Already have the Bonneville so may not make sense to have another similar one (like the lovely modern V7), although the Triumph Scrambler is on my list! Many of you mentioned Royal Enfield - I have the smaller Bullet 350 back in Asia, planning to replace that with a Bullet Classic 500 soon to putter around Himalayan roads when I'm back there every few months, and their Cafe Racer looks promising too.
As for older/vintage bikes I like most of them - from the well-known old British iron (Norton Commando topping the list) to Italian exotics (MG LeMans, the old V7 ...) to 70s UJMs (CB750, Z1), but what I'm really leaning towards currently are the old BMW airheads (R90 is top of the list). Infact I'm seriously considering a hopped-up, stripped-down Beemer from the 70s/early80s as my next bike for urban riding in NYC. Of course, my Bonnie stays in the stable
