M bars? Western bars? Ace Bars? I want to put lower bars on the bike. I hate sitting straight up and find myself slouching. I like the look of the NH M Bars with the bar end mirrors. The bar end mirrors on Bellacourse are a lot cheaper than the ones on New Bonneville.

The Superbars on New Bonneville are too wide. I really don't want wider than stock. I also DO NOT want to change the cables and such.

I see the BellaCourse Western bars say they are about the same dimensions as stock, but look better. I want to put some weight forward without getting into the Thruxton position.

So what is recommended and what so I stay away from?

I have searched this forum and didn't find exactly what I was looking for so I am posting this.

Thanks.

I tried the M-Bars, but found they stretched me out over the tank too far. Even at 65, I got sore wrists. I went with the Superbars, instead. They are only 1.5 inches wider than the stockers (thats only 3/4" per side) and they feel great to me. The stock cables and hoses work just fine. Also, I really like the bar-end mirrors as they are far enough outboard that I don't have the outside of my arms interfering with my view.

I tried sport bars found them too straight, went to m-bars and have not looked back. They are very comfortable for me at 6'1"

no recabling was needed for either set up.

According to the BellaCourse web site the stock bars are 28.5" and the Superbars are 31".

I am 6'0" and 48 FWIW. The Sport bars are 34" wide which is a lot wider than stock. Unfortunately their site doesn't give a comparison to stock for the M, Western or Ace bars.

I stand corrected vol245. That would make it 1.25" per side (I should have looked it up) Also, for the record I am 5' 11".

I have the M-Bars....I'm 6'0 with long arms. They work fine at speed, but order a bar snake when you get them. The stock bars are more comfy, but you look like Pee-Wee Herman with them on.

I've got a Flanders wide Clubman; it's enough lower, and just about the right amount wider. The stock bar on the base Bonnie (& T100) is both higher and narrower than the bars on the classic Triumphs, and I like what I have much better. I didn't need to lengthen the cables or wires like I had to (both) with my SV when I put a wider bar on it.

There's also a narrow Clubman which is the same (or close enough to be called the same if it's not identical) width as stock, but a bit lower.

Got the M bars.Love em,but they do put more pressure on your wrists....especially if you flip em over.I got em flipped over and do fine on rides under 300 miles.

I put the M bars on my T100 with the spacers available from New Bonneville-Neat trick! Low bars with a slight rise for my old bones. Also use the CRG bar end mirrors and a set of LSL rear sets with a Corbin Smuggler-all day comfort for an old guy!
If you want to run bar end get the M bars w/o the plugs in the end!
The CRG mirrors are first class and work great but are pricey.Worth it though.

Maybe the Superbars are the way to go. Wider makes sense since they are lower, and they aren't that much wider. I don't want too much pain involved with riding or the stock ones will be back on.

The price is right too. Do you use a barsnake?
