Well that's what I used to think until we took a short trip on the highway to the famous greasy spoon in Longmont. I had to hold on for dear life. Maybe it's because I'm using the stock bars or maybe because I'm just too fat, but the wind was pounding my chest so much it nearly blew me off the bike. I felt like I got beat up when I got home.

I have to say that I have never been crazy about fairings or screens on bikes but after seeing some of the cool looks a lot of you guys have aceived with them, I'm gonna give it a try. Although I'm not ready for the Triumph flyscreen yet.

I ordered my Dart Flyscreen from New Bonnie.com. I figure it's gotta offer a little more protection while still not attracting too much attention.

Next step: lower bars..that is if I can ever get Thunder to drive up here to let me try his Superbars (I promise..I just want to sit on her..I wont want want to take her around the block...I promise!) :-)

I'm installing the Dart on my bike also. Looks good and doesn't take away from the low retro look of the Bonnie. Won't know about it's wind cheating abilities until I'm back in the saddle again. Joe

I have the Triumph small bug screen, which is very similar to the Dart or visa versa.

Anyway, it does deflect the wind from you chest, but to your face. With a full face or 3/4 helmet with a face guard it works real well.

That little screen is pretty expensive per ounce. Anybody used one of these?

I looked at those, but to my eye, the Dart wins hands down for design integration with the Bonnie. It's worth the extra money to me to keep her looking as clean as possible.

I also found a lot of positive things said about the quality of the product..D2mini's for example.

...... And I learned how some rear-set controls might be what I need, after a day of fighting the wind WITH my little windscreen, and WITH my lower handlebars (at 90 mph steady)!

But dahhhhm, $400.00 for rear-sets!?!?! That's a bit steep!

From what I've read from the other threads, great clean look but blows the wind right to your face or under your shield.

I got the impression that it did indeed divert it to your head but used with a full face helmet it wasn't a problem.

I'll let ya know.

No screen or wind deflector of any kind for me.Nothing to do with looks,I just like the feel of the wind.

I slept for a day the trip was worth it, spent 3 days down at deals gap. Rode the entire Blue Ridge parkway, anyway heres what I put on my bike
