If so, which mirror adapter did you order, part # 1445 or 1446?
I have the Bellacorse mirrors, but their field of vision is too small for me. They look nice, though, and seem to be high-quality.
If anyone's interested, I wouldn't mind selling them.
Philip

I have the Kuryakyn Oval mirrors on my America. Bought them used, so I don't have a part number. I also did not want to give up any field of vision for style. These things are great. With the oval, I can see both lanes on either side of the bike. I do a lot less craning around to get full lane width views. I bought them at a swap meet and they came with no adaptors. The bolt was much smaller than the stock mount, but I put the mirror in place, tightened the allen-bolt on the bottom. They are in place solidly and with no vibration problems. Not sure if this picture will work from the BonnevilleAmerica.com gallery:

If not try:

Those look very nice, pretty much the look I'm going for. Perhaps at the motorcycle show this weekend I'll be able to get some answers regarding the mount.
It's be a lot easier if they just offered one metric mount. But with two, who knows which is the right one?
Thanks,
Philip

Philip,
Ahhhhh....from the content of your post, I'm guessing that you're using "TBS" as an abbreviation for the Speedmaster. That's incorrect as "TBS" is the commonly accepted abbreviation for the Thunderbird Sport, as any of the members in the "Hinkley Classics" forum will tell you!
In this case, it's confusing as a TBS does require metric mirror adapters but the America/Speedmasters do not require any type of mirror adapter at all. Totally different bike models!
The America/SM mirrors are mounted with a simple bolt thru a smooth hole in each control housing. No threads of any kind, metric or American! This makes finding aftermarket mirrors for these bikes insanely simple. Any mirror mounting with a threaded stud or a bolt will work just fine. The worst that can happen is that you might have to shorten the stud with a hacksaw or go to your local hardware store and buy a slightly longer bolt.
For some reason, this question keeps cropping up on the America/SM and Rocket III (same set-up) forums with questions about "what adapter do I need?". Answer: NONE! Just unbolt one of your mirrors and you'll see what I mean.
Cogito ergo equito
Bob

I bet someone is selling them on Ebay at a discount, good luck.

hey Al, if you ever wanna make the bolt fit better you could use some heat shrink tubing. Multiple pieces if needed. Might even make them less suseptable to vibes.Just cut them to a length short of the end where it needs the nut.

The bolt on the Kuryakyn mirrors was so much smaller than the OEM mirror bolt that I contemplated doing just that. I actually bought some nylon spacers and tried using them as a spacer, but it didn't work out. So, I simply put on some blue Locktite, they snugged down nicely and have never moved on millimeter, despite me catching the garage door frame one night. I also have zero vibration problems. I'm going to leave well enough alone!
I'm bumming today, we have about 5" of snow on the ground here in MD and the roads are covered with gravel. I haven't been on the bike for two weeks now, it's going to be a long winter!

Ma's Cycles, a Triumph dealer in North Dakota, sells these mirror adapters for the America, Speedmaster, and Rocket III.
