Count yourself lucky to be in Texas. It's only 14 degrees up here in Ohio with 4 to 6 inches of snow expected by Friday. Heck, this'll all be over in about 15 or 16 weeks!! Winter up here really sucks big time!!

Yesterday it was -23C (-8F). Bright sunshine. That is the problem,...At this altitude and this latitude,...all the heat the sun can supply goes off into space without a cloud cover. Think of clouds as a blanket. Anyway the weather office is predicting a "Chinook" for the weekend and maybe into the beginning of next week. Temps up to +10C (50F). If the streets are clear of ice and salt,...I think a neighborhood putt is in order. I might even rent a red suit, to go with my red Bonnie! HO!, HO! HO! OOOPS!,...Lady of the evening,...Lady of the evening,...Lady of the evening,...Just to be politically correct,...Don't want to offend anyone. We must be non-denominational,...So when the "Recognizable Holiday Character,...Using a bull whip, on vision challenged reindeer, breaks into your home,...drinks rum and eggnog,...leaves presents for all....suprises your kids, who heard the clatter, into thinking that Uncle Jesse from Dukes of Hazard visited last night....we all know ITS CHRISTMAS!!!!!

P.S. You guys and gals know that Canada contains the North Pole....So we get more :-D

Jimi- You Calgarians get the great ying/yangs in the winter.
We southern lakers get nothing but cold clippers; the Chinooks never make it here. Cold Canada, except for Winnepeg and Flin Flon is a myth.

No myth,it's cold here in Ontario, although we do get alot of hot air coming in from Ottawa. We got a foot of snow here, went for a night ride in the forest on my bike(not my street bike of course) ,now there's a chilly ride.

I went for a ride today in Philadelphia and suburban environs and in a period of two hours I saw not one other motorcyclist ! Temperature was about 37 Fahrenheit - not too bad with mucho layers of good clothing. Quite enjoyable. I just hate it once the the snow and ice arrive.
