Hello all,

I have been researching what type of pipes I might want for my T100, but I haven't found a sound clip of a Bonneville with the TOR's. I have heard that the TOR's sound pretty good, but I've also read here that they really aren't much louder than the stock pipes. Too many conflicting opinions, so a sound clip might help me the most. I haven't seen one anywhere. Does anyone have a sound clip of the TOR's on a Bonneville or know where I could find one?

Thanks! BN

I can't help with the sound clip, but the T100 I test rode before I bought one had the TORs, and it sounded fantastic! I got Staintunes on mine. They sound great - not as loud (at least with the baffles in) as the TORs, just about right.

All my life I've resented the idiots who ride Hardlys with no mufflers at all, and I really don't care to cause that same impression in people I ride by, so I don't want TOO much noise, but I do like a good sound - the sixties 650s were perfect!

Yeah I'm with you Bhakti, I want a good classic sound without being obnoxious volume-wise. Thanks for the input, I was wondering about the Staintunes. The price of the Staintunes is making me lean toward the Triumph off-roads and I'm surprised that the Staintunes seem a bit quieter. The Triumph pipes mustn't be too tame then.

I just re- installed TORs on my bike and replaced the D&Ds because of damage. The TORs have a rich throaty sound on acceleration and are satisfying to the ear. No need for ear plugs, and car alarms won't go off when you go by, unlike the D&Ds. Joe

Yup..what Joe said.

The TORs are a big improvement over the stock silencers but not too loud. No sound file for ya though. Unless you love really loud pipes I think you will like these.

Be advised that the TORs have removable baffles, and they're quite loud with them removed. I heard one (from behind) with no baffles, and it was louder than I would want. I don't know if the demo I rode with TORs had them in or not, but I suspect they were in.

I just bring this up to make sure everyone knows you have a choice; no one has mentioned that yet...

Thanks everyone, I think I'll go for the TOR's and leave the baffles in. It's good to know I can go louder if I want too, although I probably won't. I don't want to be like the little punk who regularly tears down my street at 3 a.m. with loud pipes on his little Japanese car.

Have you considered setting an ambush for the "little punk" and taking him out with a B-40 rocket to stop this late night racket? Joe

This is a video clip of me riding my Bonnie with TORs around a bend on my local twisty road. It'll give you a pretty good idea what the TORs sound like. (The scraping sound you hear is my footpeg dragging.)

I guess it all depends on what sound you are going for, cruiser or rocket. I think the off-road pipes sound too much like a rocket and the bonnie is really more cruiser
