Have any of you folks bought a motorcycle from any of the Motoplex dealers in Chicago? I asked for a quote and they can beat my local dealer by $600 for a T100. That includes shipping from Chicago. Any experiences good or bad will be appreciated.

Man you must want one real bad. That black and red one has been sitting up there for awhile, let em know about the scratches on the tank, and maybe they will bring down the price a little more. Let me know when ya get one, we can try to go for a ride or just BS again sometime, hehe, it is even more cold now(and windy everyday). Talk to you later, Nathan

Anyone else on here from ABQ, I know there a few other Bonnevilles out there, I have seen them!!!!

Have Senor Boozefighter help you "negotiate" a deal.
He is the man to have in the showroom, on your wing, and in the noir side streets of Joliet.

Mine was shipped to D.C. from Motoplex of Joliet as well. Service and delivery were smooth! They mailed me the paperwork beforehand, and I got plates and reg. tags several days ahead of the bike. It came off a cozy custom rig shiny and ready to ride to the gas station. I slapped the plates on, tipped the rig driver, and off I went!

Got mine from Motoplex of Joliet. Great people to deal with. Have all my service done there also without the slightest hitch. Don is the guy who I deal with-old time Triumph guy-also the owners Dad. Good luck! Joe :-D :-D

Ruthwell,

How hard was the paperwork to get completed? Did you get charged tax based on MSRP or purchase amount? How was the Bonnie packed when it came off the truck? Crated or open? Your input is appreciated.

Desert, the bike was free, clear, and mobile--just strapped down in a special rig meant only for transporting bikes. The driver undid the straps, wheeled the bike off, and it was ready to ride. The shipper they use is tops. The paperwork was a breeze; D.C. gets a bad rap, but if you've got everything you need (receipt, cert. for title, odo statement--all of which Motoplex will send along) the DMV experience should be pretty painless. I'm sure NM should prove similar. They charged me title tax on the pre-tax purchase price only, which they took right off the receipt. No MSRP. That price, by the way, on new black bonnies ('05) at Motoplex is around $5900 last i checked. great deal.

I too got my T100 from them.............Actually from Moto-cycles of Chicago (N. Wells st. in Olde Town). It's the same people that own both stores. However, having said that, You should deal with Derrick (at the Chicago store). He's a more motivated seller if you will.

I had mine shipped to Tampa and saved a whole bunch of money for it. Get him to throw in some chrome extra's. This time of year is a good time to deal with the cold Chicago climate.......................JD.
