Well my brother and I bought a Thruxton that was wreaked this past summer for a winter project, today we started to strip her down. Are plans are to install a big bore kit, home made battery box,the cylinder head is going to my machine shop for porting and comp valve job. The fuel tank was damaged in the wreak,so we are going to get one from Air Tech along with the seat pan. What do you think for the paint, we are thinking Ducati RED.. Anyway here are some photos..

I am jealous! Clean slate pretty much to work with. Color is such a personal preference but the Duck red is oh so sweet.

Ah, I hate that someone wadded their ride up but kudos to you for scoring a good deal. I trust it was a good deal anyhow.

I went ten years without a bike, got into rock climbing and mountain biking and like an idiot sold my heavily modified 500 interceptor. Not a day went by without wanting another bike, which I finally did whenI bought a 05 Bonnie with 800 miles on it. I would not sell it for anthing but the Thruxton.......I suspect I will eventually have one of those! The retro cafe look of that bike just does it for me.

There is something unsettling and obscene about the sight of traumatically busted cast aluminum.
