I just opened up the bag with the new 17 from Triumph for my bike and they are alot different than the after market ones i have seen they have a chain guide on both sides made of a composite material than i think will last a lot longer darn good thinking says me ..... so if you are looking to change up...... spend the extra for the OEM part when i ordered it i said to my dealer ,,,..what do you think and he said go with the oem part the aftermarket are all right but they dont have the wear guide and now i know what he meant :-D

It is not a wear guide, its purpose is to dampen the noise of the chain on the sprocket.

I think those are glued on rubber dampers for noise control. They don`t touch the chain or effect sprocket position on the shaft. :???: I looked at Brent`s site and the sprockets for a Bonnie and the Speedy look the same. Is that the case? If it is,there are I`ll bet, half a dozen guys here who would have given you a stock, damped 17t.

Verify that the Bonneville 17t will fit a Speedy and you can have mine.

Rod Burner,

Thanks very much. Someone has already offered to send me one. If it does not arrive, I will get back to you,

Bart

Gosh Steve,

Sure wish you had a 16 tooth lying around--I need to go the other direction--too fast with the 17 tooth. :-D
