I am looking to start building a Triumph Bonneville chopper and wondering if anyone has experience doing so. SPecifically I am looking for good places to find a donor body and motor for cheap (I would love to build a NEW Bonneville bobber based on the Hinkley bikes, but I need to keep costs down).

Here is another nice one belongs to someone in Ca. The black bike in the other photo belongs to the brother of VR880. He had the norton on loan because he is a friend of Kenny Dreer.

Hey evil, thats a great picture of the bike you posted.

However it looks like it has a triumph cub front brake. That thing isnt going to stop. Whatever you do put good brakes on your project

The life you save may be your own.

we got alot of them in the neighborhood, i picked up my 64 for 1000 bucks, welded on hard tail extended fork, which i will be putting something shorter on to get away from the chopper look

I think that Northern California might be a bit tapped out for used classic Triumphs... anyone have a good local source?
