I'm fairly new here, and have a question. Can the pipes from the Thruxton be fit on the Bonneville? Can't seem to find the answer anywhere.

Doubtful, because the mounting is different. But why would you want to? Sure, they look nice, but I've heard them and they don't sound any different.

I know that if I stumbled onto some Thruxton headers, them bad boys would be mounted up to MY bike, without a doubt!

Why couldn't they be made to fit? The cans AFTER the headers wouldn't fit, but it's the HEADERS a guy wants from off the Thruxton.....(!!)

i put thrux pipes on my bonnie, w/ bonnie headers...had to bend out the end of the headers a bit, but it was really easy.....pics towards the back of my album...

oh and they are a wee bit louder than stockbonnie pipes.. but i am one of those guys that hates loud pipes....loud pipes are for harleys :-D

The reason I like them, is they don't have that funky bend to them like the Bonnie's does.

The summer '04 Torque mag had an article and pics of Matt Capri's (South Bay Triumph) Big-Bore Bonnie Blaster. It sure looks like he used the Thruxton headers on that bike. You would probably want to use Thruxton silencers as well--a lot less mounting problems.

I am not sure if the header mounting brackets are the same for the Thrux and Std bonnies; however, if I ever get my hands on a set of Thrux headers, I will make em fit. I just don't like the looks of reverse cone silencers, so I would have to do some work to get the toga style silencer to fit.

I put a set of Thruxton mufflers on my '03 T100. It worked, though the fit was off a bit due to the difference in header bends. Just the same, they sealed and I was able to use the stock clamp covers to dress the whole thing up. The engine seemed to have a little more snap...perhaps due to the greater expansion chamber volume of the megaphones.

...one more thing. The Thruxton mufflers require some special fabrication to create a centerstand/sidestand stop.
