WOW -- BrewDude (love the name BTW) you obviously love your Bonneville indicated by your current mileage!

I hear you on the bikes coming from the factory a bit clogged-up. Two things: they have to meet worldwide standards for emissions and sound. Second, it fosters the aftermarket. If they bikes left the factory kitted, there would be far less aftermarket options. And thirdly, we then have choices -- like the current dilemma I'm facing between getting Arrows or Predators.

That being said, I appreciate the feedback on the Predators. Very helpful. I don't currently have a center stand and wasn't committed to one in the first place so I don't have to worry about the issue you mention. That being said, it seems the BC could have designed the Preds to allow for the center stand. Then again, I'm no engineer...

My addiction to speed is why I went from 150+HP (that bike was a BEAST!) to the Bonneville. I found myself riding a bit irresponsibly on the public roads and was bored on that bike unless I was 7/10 or more. Funny how wisdom comes with age...

I've built and ridden everything from HDs, to dirt bikes, to Japanese bikes and now the Triumph. I was actually torn between getting the Bonneville and a used Ducati SportClassic for the next project but am REALLY happy with my decision. And I decided on the base Bonneville as I wanted the solid black with the black engine.

As I mentioned, this bike is pretty darn close to being perfect. Some mods and she may just be perfect -- or at least a little closer!

2011 Bonne SE

Bought a used 2011 SE at a decent price. Looking for aftermarket exhaust. Is anyone familiar with the Dominators found on http://www.triumphperformanceusa.com ? Several versions are available on the site.

If I'm not mistaken the Dominators and Predators are very similar. I've actually found using Google to search works better than the search on the forum likely due to how I search. If you search "triumph bonneville dominator exhaust" you'll get a bunch of results.

Let us know what you decide on!

Go with the Arrow 2-2 if you haven't already. Mine are great on my 2012 Best part is the removable baffles! You can go loud or quiet depending on the mood and it looks great after a couple hundred miles (doesn't really blue). Plus if you really wanted to you could modify the baffles to your taste. Really opens up the mid-range and sounds just like an old triumph twin with the baffles out. No more stock cross over

If your still looking for exhausts, you have to look up Staintune. There are some clips on youtube and holy crap it sounds good. The 1200.00 price tag is a little steep though.

I went for the Norman Hydes and never looked back, sound really good.

Second set of tires
Epco pipe s/ remapped
Tank pads
solo seat
center stand
Its runs and looks good. comfortable. Even the crotch rocket kids like it.
Supsension mods, new brakes, and chain/sprockets hopefully over the winter.

I've got 19,000 miles on my 2011 SE. I recently went with the Arrow 2 into 1 exhaust system with the baffle removed. As the service guy at the dealer said when they finished retuning the ECU, "you aren't a gentleman anymore." The bike sounds really good, loud but not too loud. A CHP (California Highway Patrol) car followed me for a mile or so on a city street and didn't seem concerned (I was trying to ride gentlemanly at the time).

I really enjoy the sound of my Predators but it seems that the EMCOs sound more like the old Bonnies IMO.

Well, I thought I would revisit this post since I'm now at 2,000 miles now. I had to take a few months off for knee surgery but am back to riding -- and posting. I couldn't stand to visit the forum while I couldn't ride as it was more like torture for me rather than being therapeutic...

I'm a "modder" so keep that in mind when considering my comments. I did end up with Predators and doing the ABRK and AIRK all from British Customs. What a night and day difference over stock. I also swapped out risers, bars and grips and replaced with Rizoma units. I then added CRG Lane Splitter mirrors and the BC direct reservoir. I was about ready to swap the reservoir as it seeped from the time it was installed until a forum member determined a simple o-ring solved the problem. The good news is it hasn't seeped since but the bad news is I did have a couple of drops of brake fluid hit my tank and slightly discolor the paint. I've learned my lesson on saying anything negative about forum sponsors so I'll leave it at it pissed me off significantly but I'll have to live with it at this point. Minor and barely noticeable but I pride myself on keeping my vehicles and toys mint. And from my perspective, could have been avoided if the part would have been engineered properly. Live and learn...

I also removed the rear fender and replaced with a Maund FEK and a Lucas clear LED lamp. The Maund piece is quality! And I replaced all signals with LED units. I have a new relay but have not installed to get the signals back to normal flashing...

I love the bike as much or even more than when I wrote the 200 mile review. It does almost everything perfect whether carving the twisties or cruising through town. I can easily take the wife when she wants to ride or go and have fun with friends on spirited rides. It gets more attention than any other bike I've owned which is a good thing and bad thing sometimes. Sometimes I just want to ride and not have to answer a bunch of questions. It doesn't help that there are very few Bonneville's where I live.

After 2000 miles it's clear I'm going to replace the suspension. As we all know, one of the weakest links of the bike. I'm tired of pogoing through turns... I will be doing this over the winter along with some other mods. Still debating on dropping the coin for Carrozzeria's or having the stock rims powder coated. I'm going to swap the discs while I'm doing the wheels and suspension although the options are limited for mag wheels bikes. I'm going to have the headlight bucket also powder coated black and then a few other misc. items like levers, gas cap, D9 bracket and possibly a new seat. At that point, I think I'll be done.

I look forward to enjoying the bike for many more miles. I'll post some pics as my mods progress over the winter. Happy and safe holidays!
