I know this is going to sound weird but I'll say it anyway. I want my hands lower on my Bonnie yet at the same time I don't want to spend the extra cash. So I got the idea into my head to flip and rotate my current handle bars. Will this work? The only thing I'm concerned about is if the handles will clear the tank when I turn the handle bars.

Get a nice pair of mbars (cheap) and install with center angle down. You won't regret it.

Go ahead and roll em down, they can be moved easy. Just try the clearance before you finish tightening . Then loosen the controls and adjust them for comfort.FREE.

I like my bars but why not try it. At worst it may affect the steering but it could be something you might get used to. So what if it doesn't work. Like the other post's are saying it's a cheap mod.

I did also try that before buying. I suppose it was good to know for sure or at least know what another position feels like. The mbars though were still worth the small dollars FWIW.
