The truly sad part is I'm leaving for warmer weather for 3 months and the T100 will stay home. I'm taking the NCX with me. It's ok though since the Bonnie needs a few mods before I use it.

Just picked mine up today !

No. 915

I was originally told the Australian stock was sold out - i believe between 35 and 40 came here. Then my local dealer - found one 430km north of Perth in a country coastal town.
So they had it crated up and delivered to their shop in Perth and now i'm the new lucky owner !

Cheers

Paul

I took a trip to Hawaii last year, and was delighted to find a rental place that actually had a couple of Triumphs (99% of rental places only have HD's and sport bikes). Anyway, I had never previously ridden a Triumph, but always loved the style and legend of the brand, and so I said "why not?"

Not only did Glen at 'Cruzin Hawaii' have a Bonneville, and I think a Triumph America, but he told me that morning, that I was in luck. He had just taken delivery of his brand new 2012 110th Anniversary Edition Bonneville, and I was the first person to take her out! (Talk about pressure!)

I rode that thing around the island of Oahu for about 8 hours total, just cruisin around and taking in the sights, and basically falling in love with the bike. Came back with some pretty mean tan lines too!

It really is a great bike, but there were a couple of times throughout the day that she wouldn't start up right away, which made me a bit nervous, being all the way on the other side of the island on some random beach, so I just wanted to chime in and say that starting her was a problem on a couple occasions.

She was #510

Best of luck to those having that problem.

interesting, have not had any issues with mine not starting (No 360).
Did you use the choke if it had not been started awhile?

I noticed since I got the BC sleepers on and remapped I need to use the choke more on start up than I did before the mod's.

Otherwise she has worked like clockwork since May

Haven't had much time on mine yet to find out, the dealer told me that the choke should be pulled fully out for 10 seconds then half way for a further 10 seconds. Then the rest of the day it should not be used.

Was it spinning but not firing, or was it not spinning at all? The EFI bikes have design "feature" that will prevent a start attempt if the battery voltage drops below an arbitrary value. There are several "fixed" posted. Most involve bypassing a relay. The day I hooked up my electric riding gear I experienced this. It has been fine since a full charge but I am more careful about draining the battery.
