Just spent the day at the National Motorcycle Museum at Birmingham ( less than 1 mile from the NEC.). What a great place, much better than I anticipated and considering the devastating fire just over two years ago an absolutely stunning achievment. I was totally knocked out by the atmosphere of the place, it was almost reverential with people speaking in whispers and a total calmness prvading the whole enviorment. Go and see for yourselves, a great Triumph section, you wont be dissappionted.

I agree with you 100% Geoff but don't you think it unfortunate they don't include foreign bikes? I am thinking in particular of the bikes that Agostini et al rode.

You need top come see the Barber Museum in Birmingham, ALABAMA. USA if you want to see a lot of really nice bikes.
check out the web site-Barber Museum. Also they have a world class race track that holds all sorts of classic and National races.
It is worth the Trip!! (I live five miles from there)

I went there for the first time this summer, Geoff, and I was blown away by it. What's more, I liked the fact that it was just British bikes. Sammy Miller's, and to a lesser extent Beaulieu, have slightly more international collections, but it was a real eye-opener to see just what a bike industry Britain has had, and happily still has thanks to Triumph. Apparently there are still a lot more fire-damaged bikes to be restored and returned to the collection.
