I also wear the Classic. It was pricey but seems to be well made and is comfortable.Again no arguement about full face safety, but I wear the Classic about 95% of the time when I ride.I love the "moron" look(as I heard it described here) with black leather jacket, turtleneck and goggles.Shot from a cannon ;that's the look I'm going for! 8-) or the Farenhiet 451 fireman :flam: Very English indeed :-D

the classic is great, and if you have the optional leather mask it is a very good look

That pic I posted was off of the catalogue. Here are some actual pics of my Davida lid. You can see how nice the leather gets when it is worn in and soiled/oiled. Very high quality paint and leather work/stitching.

Sorry noone is awake right now to snap a photo of me modeling it so you guys could have a good laugh. Basically with these lids you have that "I look like a dork and I don't give a F***" attitude.

I really want one of these helmets. For you guys that have one, did you get it from a store or mail order?

I can't find a dealer close to me. Last month I was in San Francisco and the Davida web site lists two store there. I took an afternoon and walked around the city to both places and neither store had them anymore -- and hadn't for quite awhile.

I got this lid at Aerostich on a great close out deal. But they do not have them anymore. $215 I think. I think they might have a few black and silver one in some odd sizes.

Keep in mind these Davida lids fit differently. A little tighter than most other brands. I got an XL and had to hammer on the forehead foam just to get it on my head. But then after a few rides it breaks in and all is good.

These guys are one of the main US distriubutors and I did buy my goggles, face masks and other accessories from them. Full list price though:

Fo those of us living in SoCal there is the main distributor in Hollywood with a large selection and then there is Johnson Motors in Pasadena.

www.glorysales.com has a mail order service. Check out their web site.

I can see it now, not only do you need a Triumph to go on a RAT ride, you will need a classic Davida helmet as well.

The costs of this addiction do add up.

For anyone looking for a Davida helmet in Canada or Pacific Northwest U.S., contact B.I.M. (British Italian Motorcycles) Canada, 1733 Powell St., Vancouver, British Columbia, V5L 1H7. Phone 1-604-253-1117 or toll free 1-800-767-4797, or email at http://www.motorcyclesource.com . Also check out the Davida site on the internet. They also have a great assortment of goggles and other cycle paraphernalia.

Sorry ,...not "email at" should have been internet address for British Italian Motorcycles. If you phone ask for Charlie Waggett.

Just came home with the John Blanchard classic model. Totally rad. But noisy. What we do for fashion. :-D
