So, like an idiot, I spent a good 20 minutes trying to figure out why my new brake pads would not fit......well, I was trying to put the rear pads up front. Man did I feel dumb.
Anyway, thanks to all who have posted brake install tips, they helped. I must say the shop manual was the easiest to follow. Good investment.

If that's the dumbest thing you ever do, you're doing ok. The important thing is that you asked for help, didn't give up, and learned from the experience. Now go for a ride. That's an order!

Thunder, quick question for you. Where did you get the shop manual? The manual I have BLOWS. I'm at work right now, so I can't remember the name of it but it's got the Blue and White cover and the detailed instructions go something like this.
1. Remove Seat
2. Remove Air box
3. Install new air box
4. Re-install seat.
Is there a Haynes manual for the new Bonnie? I know there is one for the older ones but I haven't been able to find a Haynes, Chilton, or Bentley for the new bonnies...
Thanks
Kan

Haynes manual will be available May 8, 2006. Can be pre-ordered via amazon uk for $47.85, based on currency converter when I ordered.
