Has anyone tried covering the off-center, out of character, IMHO, "America" decal with the oval "TRIUMPH" sissy bar badge? Any other ideas? Any chance Brent is going to offer a chromed replacement unit?

I have a visceral dislike of decals, and simply removed the America decal from the side panel by heating it up with a hair dryer and slowly peeling it off.

Unfortunately, Triumph are so proud of their decals that they apply clearcoat over them. This leaves a small "edge" along where the sides of the decal were. But it's not really noticeable, and offends me less than the decal did. At some point, I'll have the panel painted.

Philip- Thanks; for a starter, that's what I'll do. Reading back, some 170 pages worth!, I know this topic has been discussed a bit. For me, the decal just looks like a slap dash after thought. Probably not noticeable to the majority of riders or gawkers, but it sticks out like a pimple on the nose of a beauty queen to me.
