That bike's been vaporware for a long time, even more so than the new Nortons. Last I heard, Bernard Li was still looking for investors in order to start production and actually get a bike on the market. I've read that there's also some question about his engine-supply deal with Honda, since the RC51 has been rumored several times to be going out of production.

It's a nice bike, if it ever makes it to market, but the supposed price of over $20k is a bit rich.

And as far as modern-day "Vincents" go, I'd much rather have this one:

I really like that fly screen on the top bike. Anyone recognise what that is?

Daz, go to the vincent motors site with that shortcut link in my first post. There you find much better pictures of the flyscreen, possibly some specs.

I just did. It looks great, but theres nothing about the screen itself. I emailed them to ask if they outsource them or make them. Figures the only one i've ever seen that just perfectly hits the spot is probably exclusive to another bike.

They do have a cool web site with that configurator for creating a bike. The evolution chart is cool too.

They also had some very unique jackets. I would order one except I would be afraid that the company would go out of business and I would be out some money.

Too bad they did not build the bike mroe like the original Vincent which would have been really cool. Makes you appreciate even more the job Triumph did with the current day Bonneville.

I like both of them and would love to have them in my garage. The website is pretty cool, I made up my bike from all the bits I liked and it looked icky, stock looked better.

I thought I read somewhere that the engine was a Honda project at 1000 CC based on the RC51 engine.

Shorty

PS: Just noticed that Mark already mentioned that. Pretty bike though, but too steep for me.
