Weather has cleared so I was able to take the Speedmaster out this afternoon …………… WOW. Not sure how to express my feeling on this. It was more than I ever expected after my Bonnie I thought that was it but this is the best.

Only one complaint and that will be sorted out the weekend, the Silencers must go and the cutoffs put on. It just does not have the beat that I am used too. I hear however the Triumph Speedmaster Chrome Silencers Long will sort that. I can hardly wait to hear what it will sound like. Not sure if they will increase performance or not, anyone got an idea on this?

I would say that from what i've seen the thunderbike pipes give a pretty good boost in performance which is why i bought them. This is just from what i've read and i only have experience with the Tbike pipes, so take it for what it's worth. They work best on the older 790 engines tho. With mine and yours (05') they give about 1/2 as much as the 790's and dyno at 4 RWHP more than than stock. Not bad, plus by simply pulling the snorkel you'll gain about another 2.(also from dyno results) They also sound quite good and are about right in the middle as far as volume among the aftermarket pipes go from what i've gathered. However, they will set you back about double what the triumph longs cost. They are generally said to sound better tho. (just going by what i've read, don't shoot the messenger)

My D&D's claim to have an 11% hp increase on the bike......it feels that way, too.

Yes I thought it might increase the hp, plus the sound, it’s all in the sound.

Welcome to the world of the Speedy, I think WOW sums it up nicely.

About the pipes, you may find that the pipes will be a stepping stone and after you get used to them you will want more and go to an aftermarket set of pipes. I know a couple of guys that are on their third set.

And you MUST pull out the snork when you change the pipes, Daz will help you through the tweaking part, he loves it!

Regards..........Binnsy

LOL!!!! Man, i dunno how i got this rep. Everyone else did it B4 me but i'm the one everyone mentions when it comes to certian speedy stuff. He||, dowop told me to pull the snork.

But all joking aside, you GOTTA do that once you get pipes ! No other tweak is so easy and yields such a good boost in accelleration. 2 second tweak gets you a few more easy to feel HP. In fact i'd highly recommend getting a UNI filter too which will increase flow even more. Just the pipes and that stuff will make a big difference and taks nothing to do. Theres more you can do to keep adding a bit mor power here and there and it all adds up. But those thinks IMO are a must.
