Finally getting around to yanking the air injection;read thru the instructions, seems rather straight forward...dug out my wrenchs...I can fit the wrench onto the injector next to the spark plug, but it won't turn due to the shoulder on the wrench...back to the instructions..Says you may need to grind the wrench down to allow for the tight space.Does anyone know of an alternate method/wrench which will work without modification? thin wall socket?I just don't like grinding down wrenchs;it burns the temper out of them, they deflect and strip the bolt points...ruined wrench and even harder removal..I'd rather buy something that WILL work. What's the best way to pull those injectors?

I just used the closed end of a regular wrench after separating the hose from the injector. Hold some pliers under the hose clamp and tap them up (or down, I forget) with something. The hose clamp will come off and you can remove the hose to get the closed end wrench on.

Yeah I used the box end of the wrench. 12 point, so you can do very small swings and crack it loose then run it out with your fingers.

Same here...if yours doesn't fit, buy a cheap one and grind it down.

Then sell it for for a few cents.

I snipped off the chrome tube with tin snips and used a plain socket to remove the bolt. irreversible though.

You need a deep offset box end, about the only wrench that works for situations like this.

I tried to be clever and ground an opening in an old wrench so I wouldn't have to remove the hoses. That worked to loosen one but the other was too tight for the now flexible wrench, so ultimately I did have to loosen the clamps and pull the hoses off.

I do think I could get those clamps back on if I had to though, and in any case I could probably replace them with regular small hose clamps.

I got mine out with a good quality open end spanner. Once the chrome bit started to move it came out easy. I didn't break the seal the chrome bit just spun around inside the pipe. Prbably doesn't matter but it could all go back on (not that you would want to).

I just detached the connection with the chrome tube and then used a standard wrench to get it off. Used a socket wrench though for the easy bolt replacements.

I just used one of my "deep" sockets. Because of the tube length the the socket driver did not fit completely into the socket but far enough to remove it easily. Also there is a difference in the wall size of sockets, mine was fairly thin.
