Has anyone used MTS roadside assistance program? The new Torque Magazine offers 40% off the program for RAT members. This offer is located in the members privileges section. Has anyone needed their assistance and what were your experiences?.. Thanks.

No experience - but you might check your own insurance company. I added RSA through Progressive Ins. for $8/yr. 15 mi. tow, bring gas, jump start.

Of course these are all just insurance companies that contract out the actual work. There's a good chance that the same guy/towing service comes out regardless of which insurance you have.

I had MTS for several years and had to call for one tow. Good service, although they sent a tow truck that put the bike in a sling (albeit carefully) rather than the flatbed I would now insist on for the Bonnie. I recently switched to MoTow through the AMA but have not had to test their service.

If you go through your ins co read the fine print carefully. Good friend of mine had that type of service through his ins co because his wife tended to break cars or run out of gas or get flat tires, etc. He discovered that his ins co treated every call as a claim and raised his ins rates.

I have MoTow through the AMA but have not used the service.
