OK, took everyone's advice and did the re-jet myself. Took 3 friggin' hours to get those nasty little screws out of the carbs...what kinda ***** is that? You'd think they'd spring for screws you can use more than once :brk:

Put in 115s and took her for a ride. At first, slow speed was rough...even stalled at a light. After enough warm-up time...no problems.

At open throttle, she flies like and eagle...hit 1000 miles today so the engine is starting to loosen-up as well.

Feels much better doing my own work than having the dealer take care of it--makes riding more enjoyable.

Thanks again for all your help--this message board is fantastic!

I think that's what most of us in here like best...the satisfaction of doing it ourselves and learning in the process of how to get the best performance out of our bikes.
I couldn't agree with you more about the help received through this forum. I certainly couldn't do without it.

Excellent! So where did you notice the most difference between the stock 110 and the 115 main jets and how does it feel now compared to the stock 110s? So for anyone else reading this, your bike is an 05 T100 with Norman Hyde Togas and the snorkel is still in right?

I wish i knew why, but while mine ran smoother and sounded better when i rejetted the mains, there was no improvment in power. and i even went up further than you....120 to 130. And it's still not running rich according to the plugs. i wonder if the bonnies are jetted leaner than the speedy/americas as stock. I realize the jet size IS indeed smaller, but i figured that was because there are differences elsewhere that make the stock jets for each give the same results.

Well, there are four variables combined: re-jetting to 115 mains, installing NH Togas, reaching 1000 miles and I'm more accustomed to riding her (yes, snorkel still in).

The engine feels like it's breathing now--more pep. Hard to say exactly what it's like--more responsive to throttle changes and feels stronger--like it's polished-up inside.

It's most noticable in 4000 to 5000 rpm range--just before the engine starts to bark--very smooth feel to the motor in this range.

I feel like I have more control over the bike. Earlier, it was as if I had to force her to move...now she's awake and jumpin!

Forgot to mention the engine now runs quite a bit cooler.

'05 T100, NH Togas, no AI, snorkel in, stock airbox, 115 mains, 40 pilots, no extra turns of pilot screw (yet).

I have 130 jets and have the NARK w/K&N pods, , D&D pipes plus Nology coils and wires, Iriidium plugs,a rev limiter over 8,000, and my jets are too lean-will install 140 jets tomorrrow and see how it rus on the top-it is definitely to lean now with the 130 jets up on the big end. Hey, this bad boy is fast!

Really hard to read plugs nowadays but I guess it can be done-only person I ever saw that could tell you jetting and ignition timing from a spark plug was the Champion factory rep at Daytona (I cannot remember his name) during the 70's motorcycle races. This was on two strokes and he was always correct!! Knew his stuff.
