This may sound dopey but...which way do the baffles fit in? Solid collar facing forward or toward the rear opening?

The solid portion goes to the back. Just drill a small hole thru the baffle (mark the baffle thru the hole in the rear of the muffler first).
Mine came with two screws to secure the baffles with.

I used 4mm tapered, round head screws 6mm long with a nut on the back. I was trying to get a screw that was as inconspicuous as possible. As Larry said, solid collar to the rear.

Thanks guys...I tried the baffles and took them out after 30 minutes of riding. Sounds better without 'em.
