Can anyone tell me whether the T100 is meant to have a thin open ended black pipe underneath the engine (that left a small fluid deposit under my bike after I left it parked all day) or has some reprobate kindly cut it for me? Ahhh...the perils of living in the capital

If this is a rubber hose about half an inch in external diameter, near your sidestand, it is the overflow tube from the gas tank. One way to tell is to sniff it--it should smell like gas (petrol to you). If the tank is filled and then is left in the sun, the gas expands and the excess drains out the tube, thus your deposit. If you remove the gas cap and look in the filler area, you will see a hole--that is the overflow hole. Try filling your tank just a tad less. And welcome to the forum. I like your choice in Bonnies

Just wait till you overfill your tank.....when gas is going everywhere you'll really start to worry. :-D
