You know your **** ! For the 1st time today since i've had the bike i had to avoid a 1/2" high squirrel rug. Wouldn't have done anything since it was straight road, but funny you mentioned that today.

Another thing to look out for- Now that the roads are starting to be wet more often, watch out for the painted lines on the road! I had my back tire just start to slide out on a left turn over a painted crosswalk right after a shower the other day....Got the old heart going, thats for sure!

Be careful!

Dead pine needles for me all over the place. Plenty of diesel and other oils as well from all of the contruction during the summer.

Just take it slow and easy with the brakes and throttle. Plan ahead to avoid these patches. If you can't avoid one, take it easy and keep the bike vertical (keep the bike vertical in order to keep the bike vertical :-D ).

Armadillo's and squirrels here. If I had to pick between the two...I'll take on the squirrels but prefere none of the above.

All the critters and nuts are out now. Plus I've noticed dropped hay from bales being moved from field to barn, some tobacco as the crop comes in, pine needles, all sorts of nuts, an unusual amount of muck from road repair and gas line installation, many dead possum, usually in pairs separated by about 100 feet, nice slippery horse poop, and now we can soon look forward to leaves!
