The bike now has Hagon shocks & Hagon springs, mui better!
I stuck a PIAA bulb in the headlamp, the Blue dot inside the housing looks cool & affords me better illumination at night.
A center stand has been added, but I also gave Harbor Freight $59.00 for a "Cycle Stand" upon which the bike sits rather nicely..... love 'em both!
I pinstriped the fenders with a double Gold, put a simple single gold stripe on the bottom seam of the gas tank, and had a little trinity of Gold preceding "Bonneville" on the side covers...... the stripes on the side covers have already come off though.
I roughed up the gel coat of the fairing with 400 grain, shot it with a Rustoleum for plastic, and shot multiple coats of Gloss Black on top of that. Yesterday I gave it to an automotive shop to shoot with clear, today I installed it......
and **ucked it up by torquing the mounting hardware to press through the thick coats of clear & paint. I bought big rubber washers and painted some fender washers Black and remounted it.
With regard to the Hepco Becker bags:
I plan to have the bag framework powder-coated Black; and have my $50.00 M bars, risers, and top clamp powder-coated at the same time. When I'm not sporting the BIG Hepco hard bags, I'll hang some small traditional Pony Express bags over the Becker rails.
I also want to paint "Triumph" on the handlebar top clamp and the seat with some Gold paint........
I really LOVE this bike, and can't quite understand the obsession I'm developing for it.........
