I bought a center-stand from a private party recently; it's supposed to fit my Bonnie'.......
- but -
it ain't look'n good right 'bout now.

When normally one should expect a center-stand to fit on the inside or outside of the mounting lobes of the bike, this one doesn't seem to fit either way........

Is it possible that an earlier Bonnie's center-stand differs from that of a later model? I found a number stamped on the cross member of the center stand. Does this number match anybody's center-stand or known part number?

There was another thread recently that voiced a similar concern. This thing comes NO WHERE near fitting!

The number as stamped on the center-stand I was sold reads: "2080616" "05/03"

This may or may not be relevent but the centrestand on my Thruxton goes on the right hand side of both mounting lugs. That is it actually mounts offset but is designed to sit centrally on the bike.

Good luck

Thanks guys....... gonna try again.

It just didn't make sense to mount it off to one side, and the resulting gap between the lugs & stand gave me reason for concern too. In addition, I seem to be having difficulty finding where the spring retainer bolt mounts to the bike.....

I'll go out and fight it again.

Okay, got it on. I feel like such a fool; tried putting it on at 4:30 one morning when I couldn't sleep. Then I had a couple buddies look at it...... after I convinced them before-hand it CAN'T POSSIBLY fit.

But it's on now. I used a leather MagLight belt holster & screw type hose clamp between the 'stand & D&D header. The screw assembly is hidden in the holster, and I painted the underside black...... I might even leave it like that!

Thanks for the encouragement. I re-read the instructions the gentleman provided with the 'stand, and it clearly states that it fits on the right side of the lugs....

I'm glad you started this string. Like you, i purchased a used centerstand without instructions, and thought the mounting tabs should either go inside or outside the frame tabs. So it goes to the right of the tabs? Allllllright!
One other question. A small C-shaped bracket comes with the stand. It has holes in each end. One hole serves as the attachment point for the dual springs. What does the other end bolt to? My buddy sent me several photos that almost show where this bracket bolts. Any suggestions what to look for?
thanks - OhioRider

Here are a couple of images that may help. The stand does mount to the right of both frame lugs.
the bracket is shown in this image.
Rotate the image for proper orientation.

In the second image I have tried to show the upper attachment for the spring bracket.

I hope you find this helpful. Please ignor the dirt since this is a working T100

Aloha, Bob
