I live in Vegas and can recommend the Shelby American shop out at the Speedway Complex. If you like Cobra's you can tour Carrolls shop and see some of his historical road racing cars as well as the new Cobras he has for sale. The Imperial Palace has a rather large car collection on one of the hotels upper floors. Some motorcycles were there when I visited many years ago.The collection has changed somewhat since I was there last,as the owner passed away and they are now selling some of the collection. There was a side room just packed full of restored Dusenbergs. The dusie was not my thing until I was able to get up close and personal to them, now I see them as amazing machines. The best automobile collection is the Sun Belt Auto Collection. It is a well kept secret(I have lived here twenty-five years and had never heard of it until there was an article in the sunday paper about it).Unfortunitly it is a private car collection and requires some persistence to aquire a view. It took me many phone calls and several visits to the curator/foremans office before the guy figger out I was not going away until I saw the cars. The collection is almost all convertibles, with one hundred on display and another one-hundred and fifty in storage. Just about every year, every make, every model,it is just an amazing display of automobile fine art. In early November each year Fairway Cherolet opens up the back lot garages and has most every Chevorlet made from the early fifties to the early seventies.I made the show and tour back in 1997 and it was a real treat. The worlds largest Harley Davidson dealership is here. Also out near the edge of Las Vegas in Henderson, is the Triumph dealer, Findley. He also sells many high-end Choppers.I do not get down to the strip much and really do not know what is going on down there. If you will have transportation available, you could go to Hoover Dam,Valley of Fire,Red Rock State Park,or Mt.Charleston.These are all about an hour drive from Las Vegas. Have fun whatever you decide to pursue. Al :-D
