Going to take her in for her first doctor's visit on Friday. Any ideas what I'm going to be set-back? Nothing's too good for my baby, of course, just want to be prepared

The service intervals were bumped up to 6's (600, 6000, 12000 etc.) My 600 cost me about $125. Only items called out on the receipt were oil/filter/filter washer.

Change the oil and filter yourself to save big $, show the receipt for oil and filter to the dealer, then ensure they call out exactly what inspections were done.

You should be able to half the cost by doing the simple oil change yourself.

Regards,

many including myself have been quoted around $250, so it depends a lot on the dealer. I agree on the self oil change. My dealer said i can do that w/o warranty issues.

In the U.K. the first 600 miles service is labour free except for the oil, filter and washer.

My 2 buds did the dealer gig $200+ change Oil& filter
Did mine myself 4 qts Mobil 1 15-50 = $16 + change Checked all fasteners & chain as well Something we all should do always not at intervels!! Got the filter w/ the bike They are quite prevelant in all brands as noted here Napa etc Not a required dealer item Oil need not be Triumph Oil Just synthetic w/ appropriate range for your clime My bike will see the dealer for warranty Too far away for anything else besides I feel more secure doing it myself as I have always done Pre -Flight check Saved my but bout a month ago 2" drywall screw in the rear tire If I rode woulda been a real problem!!

My dealer recommended I wait until 900/1000 miles and thats what I did. The engine seems to have really broke in well. It cost around $160. for the works and I had it done while I was on vacation.

Maybe I'll wait until 900 as well. Do I need to change my oil before then or is it OK to wait on that too?
