I'm worried about picking up a nail with my rear tire. I've always been able to 'plug' my tubeless tires and get home safely, but the BonnieBlack has tubes.

I've recently seen green "Slime" that can be added as a preventative, but my concern would be that it'll throw the wheel's balance off. It seems to be recommended for everything but motorcycle tires.......

Then of course there is "Fix-a-Flat" in a can to be used on the spot in the event of a puncture.

What is the wisdom recognized by those in the know? Is there anything best for repairing a puncture/flat/nail while out on the road, so one can limp home?

Look for a product called "ride on" which allows you to pick up nails all day and literally never bother pulling them out ! Some here tout it as the greatest thing since the air pump. Supposedly you can actually pick up nails and just leave them. Do a forum search for posts on it and check out thier website. (dont recall the site so use google)

I have used Slime with good results in tube tires. I picked up a roofing nail one day. I pulled it out and lost about 3psi. I then put over 5000 miles on it and replaced it when it wore out. Just make sure you get the Slime for tube tires.
