I have a 2005 T100 and want to replace my 17t sprocket with a 19t. Can anyone help me find one? and preferably in Canada as my Triumph dealer cannot find one through his normal distributors - only the 18t.

thanks

And does anyone have any experience with this setup - and knows for sure if there are any chain clearance problems?

I see lots of people who refer to it and dealer websites that have the 19t sprocket - example the MotoTwin webstore has a 19t Renthal sprocket that says it works on the T100 - but I would feel much better hearing from someone who has actually done it with no bad result.

thanks

Sprockets are here for $19.9something US plus shipping...

Sprocket

I haven't done it, but I know from other posts in the past that it is a common modification, and I have never read anything where the person didn't like it. I understand it drops your low end torque just a smidge, though.

One guy that did it is Rodburner, I'm sure if you PM him he will help you out.

As for me, I'm just a little too leery of losing that low end grunt, thats where I have the most fun!!

Good luck.

Erik

I believe the 2005 T-100 comes with a 18 tooth front drive sprocket stock. Your bike should handle the 19 tooth, no problem.

I put an 18 on my standard Bonny. It was not a Triumph OEM, but got it from one of the vendors. It brings the rpm dowm at highway speed to a more reasonable level. The downside is that low gear is not a "parade" gear on Triumphs, not real low if you get stuck in stop and go traffic. There is plenty of torque still to do anything you NEED to do around town. I can cruise at around 30 in 3rd with a pleasant burble, need to be around 50 to be confortable in 5th. It is one of the easy and inexpensive things to do if you want highway performance.

Correct, the 05 T-100's come with 18T's already.

I put a 19T on my 05 T100 and hated it as it killed the punch of the motor. The application was however blatting around the lanes of rural Lincolnshire. It may suite for a different use.

Mike at Bellacorse has it.
I've installed one on my 2004 Bonneville. No problem with clearance at all and very easy to install. No need for the 6th gear, anymore.

Good luck.

2004 T100 I have has a 17 tooth counter shaft sprocket. I am hesitant to change to 18 because it alredy is pokey enough out of a start. The vibration thing is getting annoying at 4000 rpm+, however.
