OK...All of You, Now. Can you let me know (a newbie) which Reverse Cone Mufflers are louder and which are more sedate?

It would be nice to see them all arrainged in a column, from Loud to Soft, etc. with a side note as to quality of construction, how satisfying the sound is, etc.

Anybody want to help?

Thanks;

LJB

Of all the reverse cone mufflers I'm going to guess that D&Ds are loudest and Staintunes are quietest, but still louder than stock. There are a few more but I don't know how they rate.

How about the MotoTwin Reverse Cones? Are they somewhere in between the D&D's and the Staintunes?

My D&D with NARK are louder than any I have heard-BUB 's included. Theyalso really let the bike run!

Preditors are pretty loud, close to D&D, very high quality, if I were to replace my D&D's I would most likely go with the South Bay pipes.

Berto61,

Are those Thruxton TORS on your bike? If they are, I'm surprised they fit because the inlet pipe is at a different angle than the Bonneville TORS.

I am really getting interested in these Predators. I was talking to the dealer about them and am becoming impressed. I am lucky to have a great local dealer who is super knowledgable and helpful (Freedom Cycle/Triumph Reno). They do a lot of work with D&D, Bubs Predators and of course TORs. He was not as familiar with Staintune or Thunderbike.

Any work I have done, I will have these guys do with respect to after market breathing apparatus and exhausts anyway. They will dynotune the whole shebang and I am thinking it will be well worth it.

What do you mean by South Bay? I found a web site called British Customs that has them. Are they the manufacturer?
